CTCSS (Continuous Tone-Coded Squelch System) is an analog system that reduces unwanted disturbances on shared communications channels by allowing only carriers with the correct CTCSS tone to break squelch. For this to work, two or more radios must have the same CTCSS tone enabled. DCS (Digital Coded Squelch) works in much the same way, apart from it being digital and having faster code speeds.
The Harrison FCC is a compact radio that fits easily into the smallest of spaces, and features a large, easy to read multicolor display, automatic squelch control, a built-in SWR meter and a scan and scan skip function.
